Something I never understood about the Resident Evil series

I believe their real goal (from RE1 to CVX) was to make super soldiers like Tyrants and Nemesis, zombies (and the outbreaks) were just unintended byproducts, but with all the creators leaving and the series turning into a shooter, I don't think Capcom even remembered that.
