Anyways, there is a ton of information that I need to learn. I need history channel series on England! One question though.. I believe I have asked it before on the forums but what do you guys prefer to be called? (1). The UK or just England? (2). Do people from England prefer to state that they are from the UK or just England? The few British I've met just state England not the UK. (3). Also, should I refer to you as British or English? Or does it even matter? |
1). It's better to say the UK, that way you won't offend the Scotish, Welsh or Irish.
2). People from England generally prefer to say England.
3). British as it will offend less people. Say to Scotish person in the wrong part of Edinburgh or Glasgow, they're English instead of British and you'll get one hell of a punch.
