| Euphoria14 said: It's just a product of people having too high of expectations, even when they know full well it wasn't going to jump from 13k to 100k with just a new color SKU. This is evident when people come in and say things like "Vita had a decent bump up to 25k (I expected 35k)". I think it is doing pretty well for not having the super heavy duty hitters like a Mario, Mario Kart, Monster Hunter, etc... and a price tag of $100 less. I guess I just look at it differently though since I think the numbers would look a lot different if it was $170 instead of $250. |
Thats the point isnt it?
Sony needs to drop the price or no one is gonna develop games for it. The longer they take doing that the further down the bottomless pit they push the Vita. The question after that is: Can it sell without big games out for it though? 3DS got MK7 SML3D and MH3G. Vita just doesnt have anything else on the same level.
It wouldnt hurt though, and it would give publishers and developers a bit more faith to risk making a project on the system, instead of just porting over their PS3 titles.
The biggest problem is, it might already be too late and the system already got such a bad stigma/rep that it will be impossible to drag it back out from that pit. We will know, if sales go back to under 10k in the following weeks.
