SEGA teases possible NiGHTS into Dreams HD remake
Or at least something related to NiGHTS
Looks like SEGA might have a NiGHTS into Dreams remake in the works, if the latest teaser is any indication.
The company sent fans into a frenzy earlier when they posted an image up on Facebook depicting a surreal desert environment. Community members have pointed out that the landscape strongly resembles Stick Canyon, the sixth chapter from Sega Saturn classic NiGHTS into Dreams.
This 1996 on-rails flying game developed by the Sonic Team received plenty of acclaim, though its Wii sequel NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams didn't do nearly as well. In 2008, Japan saw a PS2 remake of the original NiGHTS, and we haven't heard the franchise mentioned since then. Well, until now.
More recently, SEGA has been working on an HD re-release of Dreamcast hit Jet Set Radio. An HD remake of NiGHTS would certainly be a welcomed addition.
