CoD is just easier. It appeals to more people because of this. I watched a vid of a Halo player named Kampy play CoD, he only played for 2 weeks an he was demolishing the competition. It has some skill required to be a good player, don't get me wrong. It just usually comes down to who see's who first, you get that split second to kill someone and in CoD, that's all it takes. A BR or DMR "dual" in Halo for example takes 3-4 shots to break shields respectively, then 1 shot to the head to kill, more if you miss the head. CoD is spray and pray. Imagine getting 3/4 head-shots for every kill in CoD? Yeah right.
