I won't be buying mine for it, that's for sure. Did you happen to buy your PS3 because of Cell BE? Or the RSX? Or how about the HDMI port? Do you think that sort of rhetoric is any different? Multiplatform games looking better on 360 http://www.gamespot.com/features/6162742/index.html?sid=6162742 Specifically Fight Night's lack of motion blur and Anti-Aliasing, as well as Tony Hawk's lower res textures and lack of AA. Additionally, almost all PS3 games have these problems as well as lower dynamic range(the difference between the darkest part of the picture to the brightest).
that article you quote states: "Both systems have fairly similar graphics in Need for Speed Carbon, but the Xbox 360 has better lighting while the PS3 has sharper textures." so, while some scenes are slightly darker, the road and buildings look better. that is seriously nitpicking to begin with, but even that article isn't conclusive. we really won't know until at least later this year when EA releases everything on both systems or other games. btw, I bought a PS3 for many games I want to play, but the HDMI port doesn't hurt. neither does the 98-99% backwards capability that they are admittedly screwing up if they don't get the software emulation working better than microsoft.
