it's hard to call it catch up when we don't really know what MS is doing. I'm sure MS is thinking about cloud but we don't know their timeline so we don't know how much importance they are giving to it or how far along they are or what features they are dabbeling in. with gaikai, however, we basically know exactly what sony can/cannot do. gaikai seems like cool tech to me and for all we know it is MS's turn to play catch up. ...we're both speculating.
off topic - how am i suppose to be pronouncing gaikai?
