They probably want a full control of the market and make it easier for all games to have shitty online restrictions like D3. Thankfully I don't see myself playing beyond this gen, I'm tired of the whole gaming business and I think my gaming library covers every possible gaming experience.

But man, I'm sorry for the kids. No more pirating, or secretly buying or renting the games they couldn't own or their parents didn't let them.

Don't worry about the kids, everytime someone worries about the kids the kids come out fine flashing two middle fingers in the air.

Social gaming has become a huge thing, maybe its not what we see as gaming, but Farmville, Cityville, and a boatload of other "games" are what the kids like.   Don't go old man on us now, everytime I think that gaming is finished, that it has moved past me and that I don't like it anymore, something comes along that brings me right back, Mario Galaxy hit me this gen so hard I didn't know what to do, never thought I would like a platform game that much again, but alas.

Things look wierd now, but just wait until there are official announcements for next gen aside from Wii U, and never count Nintendo out.
