Now that I think about it, with this move Sony may have bigger plans for Gaikai than just streaming videogames.
If the infrastructure as it is now can handle hundreds of people playing at the same time, with info going in both directions, why can't they use it also to stream music or movies? Sony music is now the biggest publisher in the world after buying EMI, and they are also big in the movie industry.
Imagine if the users of Gaikai could have access to all that for just a few $/€. Wouldn't you sign in?
