I have a simple view on it. It's bad because when a developers say, how little can we give them (us) to be happy. Then release done DLC (extra) to where ever they feel is enough for us. Unfinished games piss me off. Every game should be like FF7. Finish it. After it's done 100%, if you want to waste additional time on a new sequel, or DLC, it's perfectly fine. But not franchises like Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, and other franchises. Or be honest and release it for free. I hate greed. I hate where gaming is going.
