A good rule for life no matter who you are dealing with. Only loan someone something that won't ruin your friendship if they never pay it back. For example, if someone you loan a game/money/etc doesn't return it, will it ruin your friendship/relationship? If it will don't loan it. People will get over it if you don't loan/give them stuff. If they don't, then tough. I will never loan more money to a friend than, if I don't get it back, will ruin the friendship.
Plus remember good things come to those who give. Many times it is not right away, or in the way we expect/want, but it is always good to be giving.
