So why don't PCs harm home consoles if smartphones are a threat to dedicated handhelds. The only people that believe handhelds are in trouble are people that don't even play them to begin with. If they did then they would know Mario, Pokemon, Monster Hunter, etc sell handhelds which is what smartphones do not have.
