Really, whether or not he would move to the left after being elected depends on why you think he wants to be elected. If it's to unleash his view of the country on the government, you'd have to expect, like Obama there would be SIGNIFICANT Shifting. If it's to just want to be president, it's up in the air. Based on his actions, it seems he's just one of those people who crave power. Unfortunately, this means that he'll never legalize or deregulate anything of importance (outside exceptional key election issues, like Obamacare), because that will be a reduction in his power.
