Blu-rays were too small practically as they were released. The Lord of the Rings films already need to be split to two duellayer blu-rays. Or Blade Runner (7 disc set.) that was insane. And as 4k TVs start coming out we will need a much better format than blu-ray. Unfortunately, I don't think it is coming any time soon.
