I suppose there would hardly be any economical difference in my case. Two companies would still have great third party support, one company would have Halo and Nintendo would have Nintendo games.
In other words: I would still own two consoles and the HD supported one gets all the third party titles... unless both Microsoft and Nintendo had HD consoles, that would be a dilemma.
