I have a hard enough time that any company would even try something tying a retail disc to any one particular account. That in itself wouldn't be any different for virtually any end user. Saying that someone couldn't even lend the game to their roommate that has a different console? Again, loss of fan base and sales.


This. Especially not Sony, after seeing how terrible the PS3 has been for them in comparison to the last two generations. Doing this would further damage the PS brand's image much more so than this gen. 

Same will happen to either Nintendo or Microsoft if they were to try that.
