Well since Last of Us delayed into 2013, I guess Halo 4 will win 2012 for best exclusive by default.

The Last Of Us was never given a 2012 release date. Thus, it was never delayed.

Maybe, maybe not, I think there was an attempt to release by the holiday, but that could have easily been speculation. I'd go with delayed, but I don't see how this matters sales2099.

I can assure you, for a fact, that it was never delayed. Naughty Dog said they will not peg a release date anytime soon. They never announce a release date and then delay.

There was never any plan to release this game in 2012.

Your post is pure speculation, as is mine, but whos to say TLOS was never initially planned for holiday 2012?

I mean lets look at the facts......Sony has tons of studios working for them and in 2012 their biggest guns are All Stars Battle Royale... an untested IP, LBP Karting...a spinoff of one of their top franchises but alas a spinoff, and Sly Cooper...a B level franchise.

Sony with all their planning and developers, cant get one "big gun" for the entire year? Something seems fishy. I think its the case that it was intended to release holiday 2012, although it was never publically declared, but like many PS3 games this generation, delays happen so in this case Sony saves face since the game had no official release date.

But cmon, speaking in terms of common sense, those 2012 big hitters arent enough to spark a significant buzz with the consumers. And given Sonys number of studios..... seems odd thats all.

But in regards to the thread. It would have been nice to see the 2 games compete head to head. Instead were gonna see Halo 4 win 2012 exclusive awards, with TLOS taking 2013. Basically everybody wins now.
