These figures are probably right because it's based on people not individual sales/downloads. I only download free demos and free DLC, I never pay for any DLC. Last game I bought was Wipeout HD when that first came out and it's expansion when that came out, that was over 2 years ago.

Logic based on presumed numbers is not fact, just a theoretical calculation. I can do it too.
250 million sales, and 14% of the Black ops sold was in the UK alone. But because me and all my mate didn't buy the DLC, we can assume that this is the common pattern that people don't by the DLC. Let's be optomistic and say 25% do. 25% of 14% is 3.5%. 250 million by 3.5% is only 8.75 million by the $15 you mentioned is only 580 thousand downloads.
These figures aer probably direct from Sony and MS just interpreted by another company.

.... is that a joke? No you can't assume that. You are once again using anecdotal evidence. It is a fair assumption that given the high sales of black ops in the UK that a similar percentage of DLC sales would be in the UK. Use some common sense for goodness sake.
Also what do you mean downloads don't mean people? Who are these people who are buying the same dlc twice? How are they even managing it? Stores will block a second purchase and just allow you to re-download.
Oh p.s. even with your laughable made up figures it still disproves the study. They said 1million people bought digital games and 500k bought DLC. Well for CoD you are talking about DLC and your made up figures came out at over 500k.

You assumed that because Black ops UK sales make up 14% of all black ops sales, that it also means that UK makes up 14% of the $250million worth of DLC sales. It doesn't. You can't assume that. Everything other than the article is based on assuption, only the original data is correct.
I mentioned Downloads are not people as, not your's, but some people's posts seem to treat it like it was downloads.
The article said 'while a further 500k bought DLC', that to me was a million plus 500k. so 1.5. That said by 25% estimation was high for argument sake, I doubt DLC download percentage for Black Ops is even 5% of the UK market.
