The Pixar movie line is neither here or there. Those movies are meant for everyone. MLP not only isnt meant for everyone but has a set gender and set age boundaries.

Hasbro has set age boundaries  in mind, yes. Because they only care about toy sales. The creator of the show has a number of interview stating that her intention was for it to appeal to everyone

What qualities seperate a kids and adult show in your view?

When I watch something like the Big Bang Theory it is incredibly immature with sex references every other line and completely unrealistic depictions of the character's lives and actions.

@d21lewis

I respect that.

This will go nowhere. People like what they like I suppose. But ill still answer your question.

Intended demographics (age and gender), media, and aesthetic is what separates for me.

With Big Bang theory, its very sex references you claim to be immature are still intended for at the very least people in high school. I think sex references shouldnt be intended for children at all. Completely unrealistic depictions? Its a comedy show.....and kinda funny coming from someone who watches a show about talking colorful ponies :P

I guess well leave it at this. agree to disagree.

Sorry to double-post, it's what i get for coming late to the party i suppose, but anyway...

I believe Soleron's point is that the kind of jokes often made in the Big Bang Theory are the type of purile crap me and my idiot friends were laughing about in 5th and 6th grade. Now, i myself happen to like Big Bang Theory a fair bit, but certainly not for its constant barrage of "lol nerdz can't get laid" jokes.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
