I have said this to you before that I have no problem with bronies, only their childish embarassment about what they like. Rather than admit it is meant for young girls they always protest and try and claim that the creator always intended it to also be for them. They can't simply be happy and enjoy what they like rather they have to try and justify it and change what the thing is. There is no embarassment in liking things made for different audiences yet bronies always act like there is by trying to pretend the show is something it isn't.
Clearly it was commissioned for girls and aired because of its appeal to girls. I only argue against that categorisation being used to say that adults shouldn't watch it.
The section of the brony fanbase I dislike most are those that say the references in the show were put there "for us". They are not, they are simply general pop culture references or in some cases to amuse the animators themselves. I am under no illusions about why this show continues to be produced.
Well that and when they make claims that it is the greatest thing ever achieved by humanity which I find insulting to a vast number of achievements.
It is NOT an amazing achievement by any of the creative staff. Their work shows only competence, anything less shouldn't even be on TV. Its existence does, however, make my life worth living. I'm not saying that is true for anyone else but myself.

Adults can watch it. It's fine. However it just annoys me when bronies try and act like they have always been a part of the target demographic. Although it seems you agree so you aren't really one of them (that type of brony). Lauren Faust created the show for young girls to give them a better quality of show than usual. They were the target, first and foremost in her mind etc. She absolutely wasn't sitting down thinking ''Oh yea I should make sure that the show can be enjoyed by men in their late teens and 20s.''
I think it's so annoying because of how hypocritical it ends up being. There are those bronies who like to pretend they are some sort of social pioneer saying
''Oh yea I like MLP but you know I don't care who it's aimed at, that doesn't matter to me''
but then literally a few seconds later they will come out with
''Oh well it's really for everyone including adults, the original creator always intended it to be like that so it's normal to like it.''
Well so they do care who it is aimed at and what people think. Rather than be happy that they like something that was made for girls they can't be. Rather than actually break down target demographics and so forth they are in fact very strictly re-enforcing them.
If you were simply saying it's the most important thing in your life as opposed to the greatest thing achieved then that's cool. To each their own. Although I would still say that electricity probably trumps it as that provides the ponies and also more.
