I just beat:
Amnesia: The Dark Descent - Definitely a creepy game, it builds its scares out of suspense and a constant sense of dread. However, I did find that once I figured out the game-mechanic of the monsters, I felt more capable of surviving and that kinda took away the scare. It was still a tense game all the way to the end, but I didn't have to take Counter Strike breaks anymore to calm my nerves. Haha! Very good game. I'll give it an 8.8/10.
Splinter Cell: Conviction - Fun game. Sam Fisher sounds so douchey, but when the flow of kills is seamless, it's fun. Probably an 8/10.
Now playing:
Metro 2033. The atmosphere of the game is very well-made. Good idea with the bullet-trade system. I find fighting the humans is more fun than fighting the mutants. Human NPC animation is somewhat stiff, but the environment just pulls you right back in. So far an 8.5/10.
Want to start:
Mass Effect 3, Datura, LA Noire (just got it for $5, 75% off, on Steam - Midweek Madness, pick it up if you haven't), Deus Ex - HR (just bought this last week on Steam for $7.50, 75% off, during their weekend deals).
Basically, the moral of my story is: Steam and its never-ending game sales are fucking awesome!
