Kinda reinforces my belief that you cant just pump out exclusives and expect the gamers to love you. You need fewer, but more memorable exclusives....games that the public actually cares about.

But with this, the Vita game pretty much clinched it.

I've liked the way Sony handled it this gen. They had those "memorable," mass-appeal, high-sellers like the Uncharted series, Gran Turismo 5, God of War 3/ascension, LBP and MGS4. TLOU has some great selling potential to. But along with those they had some great niche titles like Heavy Rain, Resistance series, Killzone series and countless PSN games. I would say all they need to do is replace LBP and MGS4 with 2 other big sellers (since MM has stopped on LBP and MGS may never be platform exclusive again), keep Uncharted, GOW and Gran Turismo going and keep delivering the decent, 2m-ish sellers. They are clearly profitable, and together they can drive people to buying the system.

Theres only been 1 GT PS3 game this gen, 1 GOW game so far, one full MGS title. Sony should have exploited these franchises more, especially GT. Sacrificing finite resources on franchises that PS3 fans want as much as they can get to develop hit-or-miss exclusives is questionable.

2 GOW games, 3 Uncharted games, 1 GT, 1 MGS, 2 LBPs. And TLOU has some great potential. That's 9/10 big sellers spread over 7 years, which is pretty damn good. Infact, it's better than what Microsoft has achieved, and at the same time they managed to get quite a few high quality, though niche titles out there as well. Is it a questionable business decision? Maybe. But it's brilliant for the core gamer.
