I don't think this game is going to set the world on fire (and if the 3DS demo is anything to go by, this game may be disappointing in a lot of ways) but I do remember having a great time with the original PS1/Dreamcast Spider-Man games. They purposely (or at least they said it was on purpose--could have been hardware limitations or the day) said that it was more fun to just swing on webs without having to worry about what the web was actually attached to. They said it was more like the comics. I didn't mind. I'm sure I'm going to have a lot of things to dislike about this game but worrying about what my webs are actually attached to when I'm swinging is probably not going to be very high on my list of gripes.

I could lie to myself and say I don't care about the web not attaching to anything, but I know after five minutes of playing the game it will bug me that he's swinging from nothing
