isn't that exactly why he said they will change some stuff now, like cranking up the difficulty and other things like the spawn system? i believe that's what he is trying to tell us, the next gears will be more challenging except for the easy difficulty and we will see more possible ways to play it. he said something like:

"i played gears from the beginning and still, i really have to concentrate now playing the new gears"

which means

"the next gears will be much better as what i expect from games as the other gears were"

regardless, is it wrong to say that his comments are ironic? because thats all i'm saying
