That could be the map he is referring too. You could use that full game map to see precisely where your enemies are instead of that mini map that only shows enemies nearby (1). Or the screen could be a rear view so you can watch your back while watching what's ahead. Obviously that screen has many more possibilities than an stupid mini map lol. You could even map out your routes to teammates or map out your own route to show teammates where you headed to ambush. It could be used by teammates to reveal campers (2) or could be the screen for cameras. |
(1) Have you ever played CoD or a modern online FPS? NOR the mini map NEITHER the full map shows enemies nearby. You only see red dots when the enemy fires. Other radar capabilities suppose you use a perk or something. What you say completely contradics the basics of modern shooters.
(2) Those are really interesting features. But you can't be sure whether the GamePad is capable of sending that kind of information to another Gamepad.
And generally speaking, the interactions between the TV and a separate screen are not convenient to a fast-paced shooter since you can't look at both screens at the same time. You'll have to shift your attention from the TV to your Gamepad and reverserly, which on the top of being tiring would make you less efficient than people playing with a Classic Controler.
