If someone is that easily upset or that insecure in their beliefs perhaps they shouldn't online at all? Religion threads are bad because most major religions defy any sort of logical reasoning and religious people can't, or don't want to, see the holes in there reasoning. So the (presumeably) logical discussions that take place in internet forums quickly descend into a flamefest. It works the same way fanboys bring down a thread when all convential logic dissagrees with what the want to hear.
