So I've read that WinPho 7 devices won't get the 8 upgrade, and that sucks, but if you buy a new WinPho 8 device, will all your WinPho 7 apps upgrade with you? Or are they really hitting the reset button WinMo-style and the whole ecosystem is getting rebuilt all over again?
I guess MS doesn't have too much to lose in mobile. If this really is another do-over, the pain might be worth it if it allows them to leverage better compatibility with NT-based software going forward.
