My reckoning is after goal-line techonolgy is introduced, incidents such as Ukraine's 'goal' will lead to similar calls for technology to be implemented for offsides, which would be fair considering such decisions are often as contentious as those on the goal line. If Hawk-eye gets the go-ahead from the IFAB, i feel they wouldn't have too much difficulty developing a similar mechanism to detect offsides.
If they aren't going to for video replays (which, lets be honest, wouldn't disrupt the game anymore than when the players surround the referee to argue their case) these are two things that are needed to put a rest to such controversies.

thats right,once you have it for something it is crazy not to have it for everything else,for me off sides is the one thing you need it for because as far as i am concerned every close offside call is a guess,it is impossible for a human to look in two places at once,its alway a guess which is no way to umpire top level sport,could be a big change in football,its surprising in a way from the money men at the top becuase tv video will bring in more adverts which means revenue
when i think hard about it maybe we should just leave it to the human refs/linesman as it may keep football unique in a funny sort of way with the human element/luck to games and results

Blowing my arguement out of proportion. I don't want video replays for contested throw-ins or other such menial debates. And with so much potential riding on a single decision and fans/players/media etc crying out for better accuracy, your reasoning for leaving things how they are doesn't have much weight to it.

well thats the problem with technology replays,pens that were not,sendings off for nothing,off sides that end in goals,its all as unfair as goals not given for over the line and can effect how a match turns out,i can see the authorities jsut implementing some form of goal line technology and having nothing else
