perhaps they relying on that 8gb SD internal storage for buffering? They haven't exactly gone out and said you can install games on it. Also considering all games will be avaialble as digital downloads, 25gb games will not fit anyway. SO I am guess they expect these people to install on external storage.

It might be like you say, I have no idea: I'm no techie. Don't have a clue at all about anything anout this. I'm just reading what other peeps are saying, and my basic knowledge of math allows my to draw the conclusion that 4GB is more than 2GB, and therefore must equal more power...

well yes I wasn't trying to knock your post. Just a speculation what that 8gb of sd internal might be for. OS related stuff? game buffer help? dont know.
It sure makes no sense to be for game installs as most will be bigger than 8gbs.
Anyone else have any thoguhts on this?

Oh, I didn't take it as such either! Sorry if I came across as crossed :P I wasn't even aware that you could use the SD card for some processing... That would really be cool if it worked! But don't you think that card is reserved for savings and stuff?
|
If used for saving my guess would be for game saves, mii saves and system setting saves at most.
I really don't know I guess we will find out. I was trying to be positive and think outside the square haha. If it is used for saves then perhaps 1.5gb is not enough. 4GB of ram would be nice. who knows maybe they did add it into the final version.. fingers crossed. at the same time there is different type of ram with differnt latency levels etc.. so in theory if the wiiU ram (mind you I don't know jsut speculating) was somehow twice as last then the gap betwen 1.5gb and say 4gb might not be too bad. But at the same time it will still buffer less data at a time into ram.
I guess overall, I am hoping some of the suggestions made by 3rd party devs that where not gonna cause outrage price hikes to WiiU got implemented.
