My guess is that Unreal is pretty cheap, easy to use and can be used for a wide range of game genres. Frostbite 2 is a new engine, developed by EA/DICE so it'll only be used in EA games, which started with Battlefield 3. Cryengine 3 is being used in quite a few non-crytek developed games.

What other games use the Cryengine?

Class3, enemy front, Sniper: Ghost warrior 2, mech warrior online and ASTA are all non-crytek games using Cryengine 3, among others.
