What you are saying is directly infringing civil liberties as well. As long as the democracy and civil liberties are protected by some sort of constitution, anyone should be able to form a party. Or else it isn't a democracy. |
You seem to have some fundamental misunderstandings about democracy. In liberal democracy there are several limitations on personal freedoms such as the freedom of speech (especially hate speech, defamation and anti-democratic speech). Considering the restrictions on personal freedoms that are meant to ensure the rights of minorities, why allow political parties that would undermine such a basic tenent of democracy? If a principle of democracy is to limit anti-democratic speech, then why allow an inherintly anti-democratic political party from participating in the process? It seems needlessly contradictory to me, in the favor of neo-Nazis no less. Remember that democracy IS NOT mob rule, the majority is not allowed to do whatever it wants.
