Sony did a scheduled (tho the schedule was changed a few times to accomodate devs etc) and showcased all the main sony E3 games with their devs and asked them fan questions directly as well. Funny, I haven't seen anything on the gaming websites I use about the Vita from E3 aside from the 5 minutes it got at Sony's E3 conference, and some of that was focused on a logo...
Meanwhile, Nintendo's 'waste of time' 3DS conference was covered in its entirety with live blogs, instant articles, live tweeting etc.
If E3 is all about exposure, guess which method won.
