Lol, I beat it on hard the first time and found the difficulty glorious while only occasionally inspiring you to throw the controller to the wall. This is one thing that makes it good compared to gears 2 and 3's ease.

It is not much like gears at all other than being a tps, it is way brighter in color palate and has way more variety in gameplay and story. There is a lot more varience in enemies from the the orcs to the chaos space marines.
