If you took my Kinect away at this point, I would freak. Last week I was sick and moved my Xbox into the bedroom and as Im laying there, i'm like, I'll finish Limbo. "Xbox Bing Limbo." Nothing happened. I said it three time before I realized the Kinect wasn't there. I go through the menu, get to limbo, play the game. I then go to watch some Tru Blood. "Xbox Apps" Nothing. /cry After the first episode, I go "Xbox next Episode". Nothing. Wake up the controller. Wait for it to register, click click click. It's SO annoying. I use it constantly. All the time. ALL THE TIME. And I absolutely love it and wish I could run my whole TV setup through it. I love that when I'm cooking I can pause the show and go tot he next episode and rewind verbally. I love that when I'm working on my computer across the room I can control the Tv and never stop typing.

And yes. I would pay the $129 I paid for my Kinect just for that feature. And next gen, it's gonna to be in the box for every single user. Mark it down. And THEN developers really have the motivation to use it, when the potential install base is 60 million+ instead of 20 late in a cycle.

I kinda get the whole, carelessly using voice controls thing.

I was watching a movie with my friend, and at one point I wanted to grab something to drink and I said, "Xbox Pause" wondered why it didn't work and made myself continue to look like a jackass by saying it one more time, then I remembered I wasn't using my xbox. My friends had this wtf look on his face the whole time lol.

OT: game wise, Kinect hasn't done much for me, but I've still have had a lot of fun with it; fun that you just can't have with a regular controller, and those are the moments that I will look back on. Here's hoping Steel battalion:HA delivers cause that that and maybe Fable: Journey are the only games I might get for it this year.

Thanks, that made me laugh. Not worth $150 dollars for me though. Kinect still hasn't gone down in price in Canada. And it wouldn't be all that useful anyway without live since I use a ps3 for Netflix and blu-ray. I also get annoyed when the 360 controller falls asleep while watching a hd-dvd, is there an option so it stays on like the ps3 controller?

Universal voice control would be nice but probably a long way off. I just gave up looking for the tv remote again, luckily the tv still has some buttons. 3 different remotes to watch tv, movies or play games, not easy to keep track of with kids.
