I'm not really ready for it at all. Looking at the PS3's lineup for early next year I'm pretty sure I'm going to be happy for quite some time. I'm still playing catch-up on current-gen games I missed during my PC gaming year (up until about 2009)

I'm probably not gonna buy the next generation of consoles when they launch, maybe I'll pick them up a year or two afterwards (after the first price drop).

So yeah, I completely know how you feel. The solution: Don't buy into the next gen at launch, wait for a while for the consoles to stabilize/find their feet/get a decent library. That's what I'm gonna do. You could have realistically been a PS2 gamer well into 2008/9 if you'd have wanted with the support Sony continued to give it, so I'm sure you'll be able to do the same this generation (I'd imagine Microsoft will want to do the same with the 360, and Sony will probably continue the tradition).
