Can't you LAN tunnel old online games after the servers have been shut down? Think I saw someone doing it with Timesplitters FP, Twisted Metal Black recently.

Of course, it's sad that officially the servers are down, but I don't think the online component is lost forever. The community wouldn't be the same, but there's ways to see it again in the future.

Dude can you show me that link? I would love to play some Timesplitters

The video is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InKadRi8Sdc, and there's a description about how the program works.  They have forums somewhere where they discuss what they're going to play (think they alternate games every weekend, but it's been a few months since I followed them).

That said, I think I was way off about the LAN tunnelling thing, the game has to have a LAN mode for it to work (makes sense) so perhaps MGO cannot be saved :(

edit: Here are the forums - http://www.ps2onlinegaming.com/forum/ still seems kinda active - they tried to get a Star Wars Battlefront 2 PS2 game going a week ago.

Thats awesome, thanks!
