Like Ajescent said, that's a plan with a huge margin of backfiring against them. If Germany loses by a two goal difference they could easily be out of the Euro if Portugal wins.
Case in point:
Denmark 2 - 0 Germay and Portugal 1 - 0 Holland, Denmark and Portugal go through
Denmark 3 - 1 Germany and Portugal 2 - 0 Holland still Denmark and Portugal go through
It all comes down to goal average, because in that scenario all 3 teams will have 6 points.
