Faith in people that would buy such a product: 0%.

For 2200 I could buy a desktop that runs that Unreal Engine 4 demo like a smooth baby's ass!

And while you're sitting in a dark room gaming, I'll be on the road using my MBP to do actual work.

Expensive features are expensive. And that laptop has loads of expensive features.

And while you're on the road "doing actual work", I'll be at work "doing actual work".

Congratulations on, um, having a job. Yeah, you too.

While you complain about the price and how it compares to a desktop (since when have people compared laptops and desktop dollar-for-dollar), all I see is a super-fast SSD, 5 million pixel display, and top of the line processors. Nobody else even makes a laptop like that at any price. Is it perfect for everyone? Of course not, but for a freelance designer/illustrator like me, that machine is pretty much perfect. And when it comes to owning a machine that I use primarily for work, two grand just isn't that much money.

You seem to be imagining the fact that I'm "complaining", most likely because you like Apple products, and so anyone who makes a less than favourable comment about one of their products must somehow think your decision to use said product is dumb.

Guess what, you can stop being insulted, I said it's expensive, because guess what? It's expensive, and Apple have a history of overpricing their products.

If you want to use their products, fine by me, I'm not going to feel insulted enough by it to quote you with silly remarks.

Apparently you have a difficult time remembering your own posts. Here, I'll quote you:

"Faith in people that would buy such a product: 0%."

You're the one making judgment calls on what people buy and why they buy it, not me. I own a MBP and I'm extremely happy with it. It cost me over two grand a year ago. It's a brilliant machine and I'll be replacing it with one of the new MBPs in another year or so. Is it expensive? Yeah, but so is any other laptop with those specs and build quality. Go price out a similarly specced Dell and it will be around $1700 without the retina display. It will also be clunky and heavy as fuck. Expensive parts equal expensive computer.
