I won't go as far as to add moves but:
Dirk the Daring (Dragon's Lair), Dig Dug, Pac Man, Billy and Jimmy Lee (aka Spike and Hammer from Double Dragon), and that frog from Frogger are some of the big guns.
Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Gex the Gecko, and Bonk from Bonk's Adventure would make my list of former megastars.
I wouldn't mind playing as Rayman in one of these SSB type games, either. The guy has the moves.
