For the 3 core CPU + other details, the latest rumours

There were some older leaks that said a 3 core CPU as well

Interesting and its from yesterday. Odd though as rumors up til now all focused on quad-core. However, it does say 2GB RAM in that as well.

I think you're overestimating the WiiU. It just seems more likely that Nintendo will go with a tri-core cpu and a weaker gpu than the 4850. It says the WiiU can
do 720 with 4x AA or 1080 with no AA; which a tri core cpu and a 4770 based gpu can do fine(lets not forget the 32mb eRAM).

However, much like Zarx said, it could be that the Wii U might have a heafty OS and multitasking applications, which is why they are reserving 512mb aside for system/OS. So, the total RAM is anyones guess. Will they go unified pool?

Edit: Also format is important. DDR3 or GDDR5?

Edit 2: Nintendo recently said the price will be a "pleasant surprise". Gives a hint in what to expect.
