No its not. The sex scenes drive the relationships  and the story as much as the rest does.

It defines Khalisee's relationship with Drago

It defines little finger and a few of the main prostitutes and their stories

It defines the imp and his new love

There are sex scenes in the show that do not promote the main stories or give you more knowledge of their characters. It all provides depth. Its not porn.

I'm not doing a hasty generalization. I know the series for years, way before it ever became mainstream, I've discussed that plenty of times already; I know that in the books most of them do indeed move the plot forward. GRRM himself said once that since he grew up in the 60's he came to believe sex is an important part of character development.

However, there are a lot of sex scenes in GOT, not ASOIAF, that defines shit just like every series HBO does. They are there to fill up screen time and please teenagers if anything.

And save your keystrokes if you are going to keep saying otherwise, I'm simply not going to agree.
