They sort of do, but a big difference Ive noticed is that almost all the PS3 exclusives Ive played so far take control away from the player alot. Well certainly in comparison to 360 exclusives. Also that the controls are alot looser on PS3 exclusives. They are not as responsive or tight as 360 exclusive titles. Very apparant in titles like GOW3, Uncharted and Killzone. This said, there is no way anyone who has a PS3 or 360 only can say as I have a HD console I dont need the other. |
Not sure I entirely agree. I think there's too much redundancy owning a 360 and PS3. Better combos for broadest gaming experiences are: PS3+PC, PS3+Wii, 360+Wii, Wii+PC (not necessarily in that order).
Given I have PS3+PC there's almost no reason to get a 360, if I was to contemplate another console I'd get Wii.
That said if you're a FPS uberfan then PS3+360 is virtually a must given there are top quality FPS games that are only available on one or other of those consoles. I'm a FPS anti-fan so this isn't a selling point for me. In fact for a while I was mad as Sony for making every other "exciting" new game a phreakin' FPS.
You are goint to try GT5 aren't you? Forza may be your only racing true love, but there's nothing wrong with a bit of flirting.
Maybe they're not up your alley but I can never enter a "new to PS3" thread without telling people they must play Valkyria Chronicles and Demon's Souls (you can be forgiven for skipping Demon's Souls if you've got Dark Souls), otherwise you have not truly experienced all the best exclusive gaming PS3 has to offer. (Still waiting for that VC2 and 3 HD upgrade PS3 release announcement, if they can do it for Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta then they can do it for VC2 and 3).
