How old is your PS3 I have the same 80 gig version though I upgraded HDD to 230 gig, but lately my PS3 became a microwave oven.

Yeah, even my Slim gets rather warm (not as hot as my phat did, though) after some hours of playing a game. I assume you always either use a vaccuum or compressed air to clean the vents?

No I use the PS3 fan but it uses one USB port so I only can use one USB port now. Its weird though that the fan is pug in on the front while the heat comes from the back.
