Meh, people will always have really fucked up beliefs. That's OK, it's part of being human. Back in the 1600s they were debating whether light was a wave or a particle. Imagine how crazy that must have sounded, and how impossible it could be to prove.
We're all gamers, we should know that RPGs aren't that much different from real life. In RGPs you have strength,dextarity,etc. In real life the ability to believe in something without proof is a human trait. Some people have a lot of points in that, and not a lot in intelligence.
