The Dreamcast was no longer a viable future platform before the Xbox and Gamecube were released was my point. Sega announced they were no longer supporting the Dreamcast making the PS2 the only console being supported on the market into the future in that hardware cycle. They weren't first, but of the 3 that lasted the whole generation they were.
