Well yup. Sony's game problem seems to be that the differentiate by trying to do what every other third party game company is trying to do but 'better'. They cater really well to the desensitised minority of gamers, the ones who buy a lot of games at that. The thing that will trip them up is that as they make their games more realistic with better animation and better graphics is that not only will the games cost more to make with only a single console to recoup their expenses they will also turn off the wider audience who is sensitive to graphic violence.

That and graphics won't always improve forever. There is a point to which a game can already look too realistic. Sooner or later Sony isn't going to have their defining factor anymore.
