I'm just worried that they're going to use the gamepad or Pro controller for all shooting games on WiiU. I absolute *hate* dual-analog shooters. The Wii pointer controls are so much more suited for that task, and so much more comfortable.
I just hope devs will give us the option of choosing a controller, I'd vastly prefer the Wiimote + Nunchuk combo for shooters over any gamepad/pro controller setup any day.

Good point, all those 3rd party devs are lazy and stubborn, if they do bother to make a Wii U FPS it will probably be dual analogue (with probably some neat time saving features such as weapon selection* and map... and likely the odd gimmick thrown onto the Wii U pad)

I put Timesplitters 2 in a few weeks ago, first time I have played it since mid-2007, it feels so slow and clunky. I've been spoilt by Metroid Prime 3 (and 1 & 2 in Trilogy) The Conduit, Goldeneye and Red Steel 2, which all have great pointer controls (I haven't played many other pointer FPS but I still feel The Conduit was pretty much perfect control wise except I think for some reason there wasn't an option to toggle the crounch button)

*oh wait, FPS now days don't let you carry more than 3-4 weapons at once anyway.
