Did Microsoft just make Nintendo's Wii U tablet irrevelant?

I understand the logic, but fails to take into account that already there are more people with Xbox 360s and some sort of tablet/smartphone that will work with SmartGlass then the number of Wii U's that will likely sell in the 1st year.  So do you think that developers wouldnt take this into account?  Do you think that Ubisoft isnt thinking hey lets also add the puppet master mode to Just Dance 4?  Etc. Etc.    Believe me publishers will know this. 

Pretty much what you said, thx. I talked to developers today that indicated that much.

They care that the X360/nextbox has smart glass, and the PS3/4 use the Vita in a similar fashion. It means that instead of not having a WiiU "Master Mode", they will tack it on for all three. They aren't going to care about performance or the fact its standard on the WiiU. They're looking to keep costs as low as possible. If all three systems have a feature - smartglass/tablet, controller, or motion technology, they are going to play to those strengths rather than care to do a one-off and possibly fragment who they can sell to.
