Last Exile is an underrated & hardly ever mentioned series. It's about 2 young pilots who courier messages, that become involved in a spectacular war. The visuals are an outstanding mix of traditional and CGI. The airship designs are something Miyazaki would be proud of. The story hold your interest and all the characters are well fleshed out. There's a race early on that packs as much of a punch visually as the star wars pod race...and the music is great too! My all time favourite anime series :)
