I thought the style was more true to the basis of Final Fantasy than many of the newer games. The character models especially. To be honest though, is there really only one Final Fantasy style? I don't think there is. I'd certainly rather have this than what we've been getting. Hopefully they make it for this next generation rather than the one after, even if they have to limit some of the graphical fidelity.
